(from left to right: Janell Ediger; Ashten Iverson; The Yang, Woodburn 2010) Both Ashten Iverson and Janell Ediger have raced the "Yang" at Woodburn Dragstrip. "Yang" is a 1987 Monte Carlo SS with a 350 cubic inch small block motor, a 400 turbo transmission, and a Ford 9 inch rear end. It runs with a trans brake, line lock, and 6 AL box external Blaster coil with a two-step. The car leaves the line at approximately 4,000 RPMs and shifts at 6,500 RPM. The Monte is nicknamed "Yang" because it is black with white stripes, while AIM Racing's other Monte Carlo "Ying" is white with black stripes. Ashten began racing the Monte in 2009 at age 17. His best ET is 12.08 in the quarter mile, and he consistently won several rounds in Pro Car category of the Sunoco Race Fuel Series. Ashten was also a member of the Perfect Light Club, with a reaction time of .000 in the tree. Janell Ediger is the newest member of the AIM Racing team, making her first pass in May of 2010. In the past she has won national and world western pleasure titles in horses, but is now settling for the 375-400 horsepower of the "Yang". Janell's fastest pass was 11.99 at 110 miles per hour in the quarter mile. She shares her first win with teammate Gerry Iverson, taking first place in the 2010 Golf Cart Championship Drag Race. | |||||||||||||
